How do I hear this music?

Just download any .zip archive we have here, and extract it somewhere on your computer. You will find music in Ogg Vorbis format (.ogg) within.

What in the world is Ogg Vorbis?

It is a compressed audio format, very similar to MP3. However, it produces better-sounding audio at the same or smaller file sizes. That's a good thing.

Besides that, the format is free and unpatented, unlike MP3. This means that anybody can make or sell Ogg files without being responsible to pay royalites, and without feeling guilty. That's also a good thing!

It is for these reasons that we prefer Ogg Vorbis to MP3.

OK. How can I play Ogg Vorbis on my computer?

Not a problem. Many free media player programs support it natively, such as VLC, Songbird, foobar2000, Winamp, XMPlay, and Media Player Classic.

If you prefer to use iTunes or Windows Media Player, visit the Ogg Vorbis website and follow their brief instructions there:

Enjoy!
